Bayern Munich and Manchester City Secure Victories in European Women’s League Group Stage

Bayern Munich from Germany and Manchester City of England have won two new victories at the group stage of the European Women’s League.
Bayern Munich beat Juventus 2-0 in wet conditions, overturning their defeat at the start of the week, which ended an almost two-year run of failure in the League of Germany.
Manchester City beat St. Austria’s Pölten 3-2, a week after their two-goal victory over Spanish champions Barcelona in the last two editions.

Bayern forward Pernille Harder scored the second goal against Juventus, continuing her brilliance after scoring a hat-trick against Arsenal in the first leg, which ended with the German side winning 5-2 last week.
Harder followed up a rebound from the opposition goalkeeper, following a corner kick in the 73rd minute, to score in the same manner as Linda Dahlmann’s first goal with a powerful shot in the 17th minute In another clash, Barcelona swept its Swedish host Hammarby 9-0 in Group D, and Arsenal beat their host, Norwegian Valerenga, 4-1, in the third group.
