Víctor Boniface scored the first goal from a penalty in the 25th minute, while Granit Xhaka and Florian Wirtz increased the lead after the break to complete five goals.
After defeating Werder Bremen 5-0, the team led by Spanish Xabi Alonso broke the dominance of Bayern Munich, which won the tournaments between 2013 and 2023.
