Bayern Munich now has a new kryptonite in the Bundesliga. Is Xabi Alonso, Bayer Leverkusen tactician who was able to suppress Die Roten!
Bayern Munich was held to a draw Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga continuation, Saturday (16/9) early morning WIB. A goal response occurred.
Harry Kane put the hosts ahead in the seventh minute. Leverkusen equalized via Alex Grimaldo.
In the final minutes of the match, Goretzka put Bayern ahead in the 88th minute. Leverkusen was able to hold on to a draw, through Palacios’ penalty in the 90+4 minute!

Interestingly, Alonso is a former player Bayern. Previously, when he was in the Bayern uniform, Alonso had a superior record when facing Leverkusen with six wins from six meetings!
Xabi Alonso is indeed stealing the stage at Bundesliga. Alonso was able to bring Leverkusen back to the top flight.
Last season, he brought Leverkusen to finish in sixth place. At the start of this season, he led Leverkusen to sit at the top of the standings with 10 points, followed by Bayern below with the same points, only losing on goal difference.
“It was a tight match, the results of this series were quite good,” said Alonso as quoted by Tribuna.
“We were able to minimize mistakes, we were better at winning positions, and had more control in the second half. We fought until the end,” he concluded.
