The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Banyumas Regency has revealed the origins of billions in DPC PDIP Banyumas. The money is said to be intended for witnesses at the TPS.
“Bawaslu has confirmed from the chairman and treasurer explaining that the witness money came from legislative candidates,” said Chairman of Bawaslu Banyumas Imam Arif Setiadi, as reported by detikJatengWednesday (14/2/2024).
As is known, netizens were excited by the upload of a video story of the owner of the Instagram account @dyah***2. The 15 second upload shows a number of Rp. 100 thousand denominations wrapped in plastic. The location of the video is thought to be the Banyumas PDI Perjuangan DPC office.
When asked for confirmation, PDIP DPC Treasurer, Sadewo Tri Lastiono, confirmed that the location was in his office. However, the pile of money was used to pay witnesses and data input officers.
“That’s indeed witness money. In PDIP, there are several witnesses per TPS. The number of witnesses is twice the number of TPS. The number of TPS is 5 thousand. Well, that’s twice because there are two witnesses. That’s also not just for witnesses. PDIP has them. officers also input,” he explained.
According to him, the money came from contributions from legislative candidates who received recommendations. However, he confirmed that the amount would not reach IDR 7 billion.
