MUNICH The Bavarian Export Award honors Bavarian companies for their above-average commitment and successes in international markets. Bavaria’s Economics Minister Hubert Aiwanger puts the spotlight on the most successful SMEs in international business and invites them to participate in the 2023 Export Prize. “The foreign activities of small and medium-sized companies ensure prosperity in the Free State. Maintaining and increasing the export volume is essential for the Bavarian economy. International orientation is the backbone of the economy,” says Aiwanger. “In addition to export pioneers, we are also looking for top companies that impress with their international procurement strategy. After all, global sourcing not only benefits the supply chains, but also opens up new purchasing, procurement and sales markets. The export prize honors Bavarian companies that have successfully developed a strong position on the world market with courage, ideas and perseverance. The companies honored with the export prize increase their level of awareness beyond the Bavarian borders. Businesses are drivers of growth, work and prosperity. Many jobs in Bavaria depend directly or indirectly on the export and procurement success of the company. Every award-winning company is an ambassador for products and services from Bavaria.”
Small and medium-sized companies with a maximum of 100 employees can apply for the 16th edition of the Bavarian Export Prize, which was awarded for the first time in 2007, until July 31, 2023. The export prize will be presented on November 22, 2023 in the five categories of industry, trade, trade, services and pleasure country. The prize is awarded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, the BIHK, Bayern International and the HWK Bavaria worn.
