Party concert

Experience the spirit of Mozart – where the immortal composer of the millennium himself worked! Munich’s premium organizer Bavaria Klassik specializes in unforgettable concert experiences in the places where history was made in Munich and the surrounding area. At the original locations where the Bavarian rulers received music legends, today’s top musicians let the timeless masterpieces of the past ring out: in the Residenz (court chapel, Cuvilliés Theater, Kaisersaal, Herkulessaal, Allerheiligen Hofkirche) and in the other palaces around Munich (Dachau, Schleissheim, Nymphenburg). The Munich Residenz soloists, with members of Munich’s top orchestras, ensure top-class concert experiences with pearls of classical music.

The New Schleissheim Palace with its wonderful baroque court garden was built by Elector Max Emanuel in 1701 based on the model of Versailles in the hope of becoming emperor. The magnificent interior was created by important artists such as Johann Baptist Zimmermann, Cosmas Damian Asam and Jacopo Amigoni. The Bavarian State Painting Collections present masterpieces of European baroque painting in the gallery rooms. The court garden, which was designed by Dominique Girard and others, has largely retained its baroque design.

Playing are Michael Kofler – solo flute (Munich Philharmonic) and the Residence Soloists.

Program: Giuseppe Verdi: Overture from “Nabucco”, Antonio Vivaldi: Flute Concerto, François Devienne: Concerto for Flute and Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 “Eroica”.

Program subject to change.
