Battling Bangladesh on day four, India won the Chattogram Test by four wickets

Chattogram: Bangladesh with strong batting performance in second innings of first test cricket against India. Chasing a target of 513 runs, Bangladesh have 272 runs for the loss of six wickets when play is stopped on day four.

Opener Zakir Hasan (100) and co-opener Najmul Hossain Shanto (67), who scored a century on his Test debut, added 124 runs for the first wicket.

The openers swung the bat carefully after learning from the batting collapse in the first inning. But with the middle order unable to form large partnerships, India has held its own. With one game day remaining, India need four more wickets to win.

Bangladesh won by 241 runs. Apart from the openers, the hosts also lost the wickets of Yasir Ali (5), Liton Das (19), Mushfiqur Rahim (23) and Nurul Hasan (3).

Captain Shakib Al Hasan (40*) and Mehdi Hasan Miraz (9*) are at the crease. Axar Patel took three wickets for India while Umesh Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav each took one wicket.
