During EA PLAY LIVE this Thursday (22), news of one of the biggest EA releases of the year were announced, Battlefield 2042. The game will feature a robust game creation and customization system called Battlefield Portal, which allows players to change their game in a very profound way.
It has a complex system of rules that can be assembled to create unique modes on maps from the franchise’s various eras. Battlefield Portal will take advantage of the themes and contents of Battlefield 3, 1942 e Bad Company 2, with the return of some maps loved by fans, such as Caspain Border and Noshahr Canals (from Battlefield 3), Battle of the Bulge e El Alamein (de Battlefield 1942), and Arica Harbor and Valparaiso (from Bad Company 2).
Customization lets you decide which weapons, gadgets, and vehicles participants will be able to use. In addition, you will also be able to choose classes from previous versions of the game, such as doctor or the beloved anti-tank of Battlefield 1942. In the trailer, we see World War II doctors facing doctors from Battlefield 3 (but no weapons, just class gadgets like knives versus defibrillators).

In Portal it will be possible to take maps, weapons and vehicles from previous games in the series and then customize them as you see fit. In addition, we will be able to drastically change the game rules, create our own modes and change the spawn of objects. The material is then made available to the community, who can download and rate their creations.
In other words, players create what they want to play. Want to increase shotgun damage? How about making a 2042 super soldiers mode against WWII soldiers (4 vs. 32)? All of this is possible and is in the hands of the community and its creativity.
It’s worth noting that they’ve all been reworked for the Frostbite engine, and the physics system for setting destruction has been added to Battlefield 1942. The idea is that even more content will be added after the mode is launched.
