Battlefield 2042The launch was recently moved to November, but players will still have the chance to test the game next month. EA invites to an open beta test on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
The whole thing is held 8.-9. October, with open doors for absolutely everyone who is interested in testing the shooter series’ next feature. Those who have pre-ordered or are EA Play members can jump in as early as October 6.
EA points out that you do not need a PlayStation Plus subscription to participate, but Xbox players must have Xbox Live Gold membership. For those who play on PC, the developer has also published PC requirements, which you can see in the picture to the right of the article.
During the beta, players get to try their hand at the mode Conquest on the map Orbital. The test period also features four different specialists, with different equipment packages and special features.
Battlefield offers modern warfare set a few years into the future. The game drops the traditional single-player campaign, and instead focuses on three multiplayer variants. The launch date is set for 19 November.
One of the modes allows players to design their own Battlefield matches.
