Battlefield 2042 has its own mode with classic maps from the series

Battlefield 2042, the next game in the popular shooter series, will offer three different main modes. While two of these have already been named, EA keeps the third secret, but now we know a little more about what fans can expect.

During a live broadcast Thursday Christian Glass – head of Ripple Effect, one of the studios working on Battlefield 2042 – revealed that the mode will feature some of the best maps from previous Battlefield games.

– I can not say much about [modusen] What I can say is that one of the components of the experience we create is that we bring some of the fans’ favorite maps back to Battlefield 2042, Glass said cryptically.

According to Battlefields leak guru Tom Henderson The mode – which potentially goes by the name BattleHub – should include maps such as Metro, Locker, Wake Island, Siege of Shanghai, Arica Harbor and Caspian Border.

How much of this is true, and how the mode will possibly work, we will officially find out on July 22, during EA Play Live. There, DICE will release even more details about Battlefield 2042, which we already know will be one multiplayer games without any single player campaign.

Ripple Effect is by the way the same studio that went by the name DICE LA, before it got its new name earlier this week. In addition to Battlefield 2042, the developer is also working on his own game. This is being developed in collaboration with Respawn boss Vince Zampella, who has previously been behind games such as Call of Duty, Titanfall and Apex Legends.
