Battlefield 2042 Gets Cross Play and Cross Progression • Gaming Nation

As the October release of Battlefield 2042 slowly approaches, we are also learning more about the game. Publisher EA today revealed that the shooter will get cross-play and cross-progression.

Cross-play means that players can play with each other across the various platforms. However, there is an important footnote here. Players on the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC can play against each other in a pool. Players on the PS4, Xbox One and PC will receive a separate pool. So you will not be able to play against each other if you have platforms from different generations. In addition, console players in both groups can choose not to play together with PC players, if they do not think that is fair.

Cross-progression will also be added to the game, meaning you can transfer the progress you make in the game between different platforms. Battlefield 2042 is expected on October 22 for the aforementioned platforms.
