The Battlefield 2042 team rolled out its latest Development Update today, sharing all the exciting things coming to the shooter.
Hosted by DICE Community Manager Tom Straatman and Producer Bruce Brodie, the video is an early introduction to Season 6 and its new map, which will debut in October 2023, as well as the addition of “Return” – allowing players to alternate between Season 5 and Season 6 Experience your favorite Battlefield 2042 gameplay moments.

For six weeks starting August 29, Battlefield 2042: Homecoming is giving players another chance to earn weekly rewards. Players will enjoy new ways to explore their favorite maps and modes, including “Assault Mayhem XL”, “Tactical Conquest”, “Breakthrough Chaos”, “Conquer Assault” and “Close”, and of course the original “Battlefield” scene of chaos.
The “Return” rewards include new content, such as character, vehicle and weapon skins, and even previous store content will return. In addition to the updated modes and rewards, players can also look forward to game quality enhancements and new encyclopedia content for players to gain an in-depth understanding of the world view of “Battlefield 2042”.
