Battlefield 2042 – Bad news for console players

  • The beta of Battlefield 2042 will begin in October
  • You will need an Xbox Live Gold subscription
  • The console version will not support the mouse and keyboard

Battlefield 2042 arrives in November, but is already in beta in this month we can taste it. Those who have pre-ordered the game may fall for it on October 6 for DICE’s new game, while everyone else will be forced to wait until October 8th. But that’s not all, because users of Xbox consoles have some bad news.

While the PlayStation will not require a PS Plus subscription to play the beta, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S owners will need an Xbox Live Gold subscription. Of course, all this is only true for the beta, the full game will require PS Plus.

And if you already have an Xbox and PlayStation, the console version of Battlefield 2042 will lack mouse and keyboard support. At least when it appears. However, DICE is still exploring the possibility of making this feature available over time as part of an update.
