If you’ve been on the BattleBit Remastered craze lately and are wondering when the game might want to shed its Early Access tag and debut as a full-fledged project, then in the recentReddit AMAthe developers have teased this.
When asked about a full 1.0 release, developer The LiquidHorse noted that the game has been in development since 2016 and will likely remain in early access for four years. However, one thing that won’t happen is that every time the game jumps to version 1.0, the progress won’t be erased.
The developer also notes that more game modes are coming in the future, including a hardcore mode that’s still a while away, and on top of that, we can expect a progression overhaul with new projects to fill in the gaps, plus class updates to encourage people to Play something other than Medic, and Steam Deck support. There won’t be any bigger lobbies, as the server infrastructure doesn’t support it, and again don’t expect jets anytime soon, but there’s still a lot to look forward to in this indie game.
Oh, and for console gamers out there, the door is wide open for a console launch, but it won’t be anytime soon either.
