JAKARTAIPhone 12 Pronew Apple comes with a beautiful flat edge design, reminiscent of the iPhone 5. One thing a lot of people really like. (Also read: Bullfighting iPhone 12 vs Galaxy S20 FE, here’s the result …)

Apart from the design, there are other interesting things in the iPhone 12 Pro. Because internally, the iPhone 12 Pro has 5G support and is supported by the A14 Bionic chip, where Apple promises 50% higher CPU and GPU performance than last year’s iPhone.

And last, but not least, the new iPhone 12 Pro has a smaller battery than last year’s iPhone 11 Pro. The capacity is only 2,815 mAh.

In his review, site Phone Arena, mentioning, the iPhone 12 Pro suggests this phone might not be the 2 day battery champion, however the unit can still last a moderate user a day and a half on a single charge.

The question is, how well will the new iPhone 12 Pro perform compared to the previous iPhone? Likewise, when compared to its competitors from Android, which has packed the battery far from the latest iPhone.

We need to note that the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 have the exact same battery capacity, which is 2,815 mAh. Both phones are also powered by the same A14 Bionic chip, so the results will be pretty much the same.

Battery Test Results

In the browsing test, the iPhone 12 Pro in particular outlasted last year’s iPhone 11 Pro – nearly four hours. The new iPhone 12 also outperformed last year’s iPhone 11, which lasted about an hour longer.

But compared to its competitors, the new iPhones don’t really impress, or exceed their battery life. If anything, it’s impressive that they’re following Android phones packing bigger batteries.
