King Carl XVI Gustaf’s 50-year fund for science, technology and the environment added in connection with HM the King’s 50th birthday. The aim is to promote research, technical development and entrepreneurship, which contribute to sustainable use of natural resources and conservation of biological diversity. The scholarships are awarded by HM the King at a reception at the Royal Palace on 10 June.
Of the thirteen scholarship recipients appointed for 2024, two are active at Chalmers. Sajid Alvi receives a scholarship for advanced studies of new materials for more durable batteries, and Johanna Xu for research on batteries that both store energy and carry loads.
