Raphael Gramper (The Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child, and Frank Miller) and DC Comics have announced that the upcoming comic book series, Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham, is ready for release and will have four issues, four different hopes to breathe new life into Gotham’s protectors.
The first issue, which will be out on September 16, features a magazine cover designed by master Frank Miller, whose signature style is one of the editorial favorites.
DC Comics:
“Batman: The Gargoyles of Gotham tells the story of a Gotham City where each day is darker and more incorrigible than the last, and Batman has made a definite choice – to kill Bruce Wayne’s identity forever, Embrace capes and hoods full time. But while he knows the streets of Gotham, Batman will soon discover that he barely knows himself. A serial killer is on the loose, and while murdering his victims seems random at first, each lead brings Batman closer to the grisly truth – that they’re all connected, not only to each other, but to him as well. When a whole new rogue’s gallery of fully depraved villains begins to emerge from the depths of the city, Batman will have to contend with the very essence of evil – including that that lurks in the darkest corners of his own being – in the face of his swear. What is about to happen to the city to protect.
