It’s not just people who need to cool down when it’s hot.
In California, the police were called to deal with a bear that was swimming in a private pool, writes Fox News. The bear appeared uninvited.
It’s not every day that they have to respond to a bathing bear – and the police in Burbank have shared a video of the bear on their Facebook page.
In the comments section, there are several people who have gotten involved.
– Give him a beer and let him stay there, writes one.
– Hope he has no plans to come to me, writes another.
– Let him have a bath, poor thing. It’s hot, concludes a third.
It is unknown whether weasel Brumlemann found a scrub, broom and soapy water to wash himself with.

– Rarely attacks
Black bears in the USA can be quite tame according to bear expert Ole-Gunnar Støen, whom VG has spoken to previously.
He then said that they rarely attack.
The black bear can be 180 cm long at most and can weigh between 65 and 270 kilos.
California Department of Fish and Wildlife have guidelines for what to do if you encounter a bear in, for example, your swimming pool this summer.
They write “Don’t run, instead – look at the animal, make noises and try to appear as big as possible”. In addition, they encourage you to call 911 if you are attacked.
