A 45-year-old woman was rescued today, by sea, on the east side of Garajau beach, informed the Captaincy of the Port of Funchal.
The rescue was carried out in the late afternoon of this Sunday, after an alert was received, at approximately 17:30. Unable to return by her own means, the woman was rescued at 6:15 pm, by a vessel from the Instituto de Socorros a Castaways, with the landing at Garajau beach taking place at 6:25 pm.
The Funchal Maritime Police Local Command took care of the occurrence.
