Batam Health Office Expresses Concerns About Their Child’s Rubella Vaccination

BATAM, TRIBUNBATAM.id – Achievement of rubella vaccination in Kota BatamRiau Islands Province (Kepri), has more than 150 thousand children.

This achievement starts from 27 May to 11 June 2022.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Surveillance and Immunization Section (Kasi) public health Office (Health Office) City Batamdr Fairuza Iaily.

“For the enthusiasm of parents, most of them 60 percent agree, but 40 percent also tens of thousands are still hesitant,” said the woman who is often called Doctor Ika when she was present at the Tribune. Batam Podcast, Friday (15/7/2022).

Ika revealed that 40 percent of parents who did not agree with the implementation of the rubella vaccine were due to several things.

First, parents think there are haram elements contained in vaccines, thus making parents reluctant to take their children to go for vaccines.

“The vaccine we are using is not a new vaccine, it already has the MUI halal certificate,” he said.

While other causes, parents want herbalists for the child.

Not only vaccines, but also refusing drugs, so that is one of the reasons for the reluctance of parents to bring their children vaccines.

Another reason, said Ika, is that parents are also worried about Post Immunization Adverse Events (KIPI).
