Bastian Schweinsteiger unpacks his first date with Ana Ivanovic in New York

Bastian Schweinsteiger unpacks. Especially about a tennis trick against his wife Ana Ivanovic.

Munich – FC Bayern legend Bastian Schweinsteiger* was a guest on the FC Bayern podcast. In the 25th episode he chatted about his career. While most fans probably already know something from his active time, he now also chatted about his private life after the active career from the sewing box.

It got interesting when a viewer question was read to him: “What do you actually do all day?” Schweinsteiger does not hold back with the answer and gives exciting insights into his free time and his family life. He talks about his children, Ana Ivanovic and his hobbies, like tz.de* reports.

The 2014 world champion says: “I don’t get bored, it’s not like I’m lying around on the sofa and watching football. You are always busy with children. I try to keep fit, I ski, go tennis and play golf.”

Doesn’t sound particularly surprising, but there’s one thing that maybe not many people knew: “I like to go for walks in the woods, in the hidden corners in Bavaria.” Meeting people and constant contact with his partners and sponsors are also on the plan (all celebrities – and TV news on RUHR24*).

Bastian Schweinsteiger: One could write “several books” about the life of Ms. Ana

“It’s important for me to achieve something, that’s it as a player,” says Schweinsteiger, who is very focused on his family and continues to push the ARD job*. “I’m currently very happy and satisfied,” says Schweinsteiger, leaving the question of where he sees himself in ten years unanswered. He can’t even imagine the coaching job at the moment because he doesn’t want to be on the pitch 365 days a year.

Schweinsteiger talks about his new book, the biography, written by Martin Suter*. In which the life of and with Ana Ivanovic* also plays a role. “I wanted her story to be told, too,” says the ex-Bayern star.

“My wife has had a great life. Actually you can write several books about my wife”. How was the first date, Schweinsteiger is asked?

Schweinsteiger unpacks about the first date with Ana in New York

It was in New York. “It turned out that way, there was also a coincidence, although I don’t believe in coincidences, that was determined. We went for a walk on the first date. I didn’t speak English very well back then. From the first ten minutes, Ana spoke for 9 minutes and 20 seconds and I only for 40,” reveals Schweini.

“It was a special moment and I can remember everything,” says Schweinsteiger, who says they speak both English and German together now. “She understands German, with Bavarian it will be difficult. The children now speak four languages, I hope there will be Bavarian as well, then there will be five,” said the Bavarian about the mixed household with Serbian Ana*.

Schweinsteiger about Ana: “I never wanted to say it, but…”

A voice message is then played by Ana, in which she says that ex-soccer player Basti lost the tennis match against ex-tennis pro Ivanovic only because of his shoes and whether he would be ready for a rematch? “Yes, that was also the case,” says Schweinsteiger when asked about shoes.

“Firstly, she picked the wrong spot and she is responsible for arranging equipment. The shoe of mine was not intended for the court at all. I bought new shoes for revenge. It’s not always the shoes.”

And then Schweini explains the tennis secret from the house of Schweinsteiger/Ivanovic. “To tell you the complete truth, I never wanted to say it, but I’m automatically 30-0 up in every game and then I have to throw everything in. I never won, I came close once, but if the boss picks up, then you don’t stand a chance.”

If he ever wins, I’m sure he’ll post it. *RUHR24 and *tz.de are part of the IPPEN.MEDIA editorial network.
