Dusty Hill, historic bassist, keyboardist and backing vocalist of the ZZ TOP, died in his sleep at the age of 72.

On 23 July the ZZ TOP they had performed in New Lenox, Illinois, without Dusty Hill, forced to return to his home due to hip problems. In its place he had played Elwood Francis.
The ZZ TOP from 1969 to today they had always been made up of the same trio, made up of Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbons e Frank Beard.
