The brothers Bas and Aad van Toor, better known as the television duo Bassie & Adriaan, have to pay compensation to some actors who played a role in one of their television series. In total, this involves 15,000 euros. The actors had demanded 179,000 euros because they felt underpaid. The issue has been going on for years.
The court in Rotterdam ruled that the actors are indeed entitled to compensation, but because they played “a minor supporting role” in the series, the compensation is much lower. In the series (The Bully, The Secret of the Key, The Diamond in The Crying Professor) it’s mainly about Bassie & Adriaan. They are mainly in the picture.
Paul van Gorcum, who played the role of the Baron in the series, had gone to court along with several other actors.
