Básquet Coruña announced this Thursday one of its star signings. It’s about Trey Thompkins, a player with proven experience in the US and Europe. The American player joins the new project of the A Coruña team.
The 34-year-old power forward began his career with the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA. After two seasons he made the jump to Europe to play for a year in Russia and then landed in the Real Madrid. He spent seven seasons with the white team, winning four leagues, three Cups, four Super Cups and one Euroleague in 2018. In the last two seasons he joined the ranks of Zenit and Red Star.
Thompkins returns to Spain and becomes one of the main pieces of Básquet Coruña in his first experience at ACB. The American will be the second name of the orange team. In this way he joins Augusto Lima and to the eight players who renewed their contracts.
