Giovanni Palazzi, President of StageUp, who illustrated the results of the survey: “Our research on the impact of the Final Eight in Turin 2024 highlights the success of the Event. Proof of this is, on the one hand, the important economic impact of 15 .86 million in Italy of which 10.43 million generated in the Turin area with a multiplier of 15.3 of the impact compared to the investments of the Piedmont Region, the Municipality of Turin and the Turin Chamber of Commerce. On the other hand, the positive perception of the Finals Eight both in Italy and in the Metropolitan City of Turin, confirming the Event’s ability to create a memorable experience from the point of view of real life, a decisive element to further increase the notoriety and image of the territory, laying the foundations for a further growth of the Final Eight in the name of the combination between the Città della Mole and the Lega Basket”.
The other numbers
There will be a total of 45 thousand spectators in 2024, average age of 36 years, with only half coming from Turin, confirming the national scope of the event. 88% of spectators considered the experience at the arena positive.
