Wednesday night’s game between Houston and Oklahoma City is postponed to a later date due to the Rockets’ lack of players.
The meeting between the Rockets and the Thunders is the first postponed this start of the season. The league announced the postponement of the meeting because too many Houston players are considered contact cases. Many players have returned home including the two new recruits to the franchise: DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall. James Harden knows his sanction for going to a strip club without a mask on Tuesday night. The player will not be suspended by the league but is fined $ 50,000 for violation of health protocol. In addition to this fine the player will lose $ 248,000 for each missed game.
Rockets and Harden are awaiting word on NBA medical staff to decide on how long of a quarantine will be necessary before he’s cleared to return to the team. Besides the 50K fine for violating protocol, Harden will lose $284K in salary for each missed game.
