Grayson Murphy (25) did it.
Last season the American played for the Dresden Titans in the ProA, now the Lakers have announced that they have signed the development player.

Murphy signed a non-guaranteed one-year contract with the Californians. The minimum salary for such contracts is 1.16 million dollars (equivalent to 1.07 million euros).

The Lakers immediately provided the statistics from the 2nd Bundesliga in the press release: Murphy played in 23 games for the Saxons and started in 22 of them. He averaged 13.8 points per game and sank 43.3 percent of his three-point attempts.
He also got an average of 7.1 rebounds and gave 4.5 assists.

He even led the league in steals – 2.6 per game. All this in 28.4 minutes on the field. He scored ten points or more 18 times. Four times even 20 points or more.
Dresden coach Fabian Strauß (31) said about the player after Murphy was signed in 2023: “He is a super relaxed guy who knows exactly what he wants to achieve in terms of sport. He also fits our style of play perfectly because he is a good pick-and-roll player who can set the pace quickly. We were also looking for a player who could create for himself as well as for his teammates and we found this guy with his personality. We hope that his signing will bring even more calm and game intelligence to our point guard position.”

Murphy moved to Dresden from league competitor Phoenix Hagen. Hagen was his first station abroad after his time at Belmont College in Tennessee (2017 to 2022).
He played for the Lakers in the 2024 Summer League.
