At the end of a match dominated from start to finish, ASVEL takes the best from Gravelines-Dunkerque (61-94) and now has the same record as Dijon, leader of Jeep Elite.

Dijon is no longer alone at the head of the Jeep Elite. On the occasion of the closing match of the 29th day, ASVEL went for its 25th victory of the season, for only seven defeats, on the floor of Gravelines-Dunkirk. If the BCM opened the scoring on a three-point shot from Aleksej Nikolic (9 points), the Villeurbanne signed a 9-0 to take control. A 7-0 allowed Corey Davis’s teammates (12 points) to regain a point lead for a few moments. The two teams surrendered blow for blow during these ten minutes because Gravelines-Dunkerque finished the first quarter on a new 7-0 to return to height. However, ASVEL passed a speed at the start of the second quarter with a 10-0 to widen a gap on which the players of TJ Parker and Frédéric Fauthoux capitalized to lead eleven lengths at halftime.

ASVEL left nothing to BCM

If, on the return to the Sportica floor, the gap has not changed, an 8-0 allowed Norris Cole’s teammates (20 points) to get closer to the 30-point lead. However, it was only with a 26-point advantage that ASVEL started the last ten minutes. Very early back to 23 points, the BCM players then took the waves and the gap ended up exceeding 30 points just under eight minutes from the end of the game. From there, the Gravelines-Dunkirk players did not descend below. At the end of the 40 minutes, ASVEL won by 33 points (61-94) and therefore returned to Dijon with exactly the same record. For the BCM, this third consecutive defeat does not help the situation of the club which, with one more game to play, has only one victory ahead of Chalon-sur-Saône, the first relegation to which there are two games left before the end of the season.
