The French JDA Dijon lost heavily on Tuesday night at home against the Turks of Tofas Bursa (61-90) on behalf of the 5th day in the Basketball Champions League. Belgian Hans Vanwijn finished the game with 4 points (2/4 2 points and 0/1 3 points), 3 rebounds and 1 interception in 22 minutes.

From the outset, the French were overwhelmed by domineering Turks in all areas of the game, especially thanks to Tarik Phillip (20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists).
If Dijon found some success in the second quarter, the gap continued to widen (31-53 at the break).
On the return from the locker room, the defenses took precedence over the attacks but Hans Vanwijn’s teammates could not close the gap (42-67 and 61-90).
After the 40-point loss last week at Nymburk (94-54), it’s a second big defeat in a row for JDA Dijon.
In the standings, the French slip to third place in the standings, tied with their evening opponents (3 wins for 2 losses) but with a particular negative difference.
JDA Dijon will play its qualification for the next round in the last match scheduled for Tuesday 19 January in Keravnos (Cyprus).
