The Basketball Löwen Braunschweig also lost their third game of the season against the Hakro Merlins Crailsheim. After losing the first half of the season and dropping out of the cup semifinals, Braunschweig lost 84:87 (44:48) in the Bundesliga game on Tuesday evening in their own hall. As ninth in the table, Crailsheim can continue to hope for the playoffs. Despite the defeat, the lions should no longer be in danger of relegation.

The best thrower for Braunschweig was David Krämer with 21 points. Crailsheim’s best players were Terrell Harris and Mike Caffey (both 18 points).
