Despite its descent into Pro B, the Chalonnais club is still invited by the Bressan club.
This is not necessarily a surprise, but we have to admit that JL Bourg en Bresse was not obliged. For its great preparatory tournament for the season, the famous “Ain Star Game”, the Bresse club invited Pro A clubs and the neighboring Chalonnais despite its descent into Pro B.
We must see in it respect for the club on the banks of the Saône and a form of recognition of its ambitions. Under the leadership of Sebastian Machowski, his new trainer, Elan Chalon has the challenge of climbing back into the Elite of French basketball from the next season. He plans to resume training on Tuesday, August 10.
In this sense the Chalonnais will be able to rub shoulders with the heavy. For its first match, Wednesday, September 1, it is indeed in Ekinox that the Elan will face Bourg, the new club coached by Laurent Legname, who will be able to see his former team face the Metropolitans 92, just before.
The next day, the Chalonnais will rub shoulders in Nanterre, on the floor of La Balme de Sillingy, a stone’s throw from Annecy. The last classification matches will take place on Saturday 4 September, from 3 p.m.
Before going to the “Ain Star Game”, unless there is a change, the Elan should host Saint-Chamond on Saturday, August 21 before a return match a week later, in the Loire.
