It is ultimately only a half-surprise: the semi-final second leg of the Leaders Cup between SLUC and Blois, which was to take place this Tuesday evening in Gentilly, has been officially postponed! A decision communicated to the clubs concerned by the national league, just a few minutes ago.

A quick reminder of the facts of the past few hours: already deprived of David Skara, Saturday evening against Antibes, the SLUC had identified three additional positive cases for covid, the day after the match. However, what was relatively predictable happened, other Nancy players reported having symptoms this Monday morning. Which obviously prompted the club to organize a new test session. Samples that revealed two more proven cases.
As the SLUC no longer has enough professional players who are not covid-positive (the protocol provides for a minimum of seven professional contracts), the request to postpone the meeting was sent to the LNB in good and due form, at the end of the morning.
The semi-final second leg of the Leaders Cup is therefore postponed for the second time in less than a fortnight. And if it is not yet official, the postponement date should be Tuesday, February 15. The only slot available before the start of the final (February 18 and 20). Finally, it is now obvious that the SLUC’s trip to Vichy-Clermont this Friday is seriously threatened.
