Vegetables rose in price on the stock exchanges in the country during the week, according to the data in the weekly bulletin of the State Commission for Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DKSBT).
The market price index (CPI), which reflects the movement of wholesale food prices in our country, rose by 0.94 percent to 2,151 points during the week. Last week the ITC was at the level of 2,131 points. The base level of the ITC – 1,000 points – is from 2005.
Of the vegetables monitored by the DKSBT, the price of greenhouse cucumbers rose the most – by 9.1 percent to BGN 2.78 per kilogram.
Greenhouse tomatoes are also up – by 5.4 percent to BGN 3.24 per kilogram. The price of potatoes rose by 4.4 percent to BGN 1.19 per kilogram, carrots by 4.7 percent to BGN 1.16 per kilogram, and cabbage by 6.2 percent to BGN 1. ,10 BGN per kilogram.
Ripe onions rose in price by 3.6 percent to BGN 1.03 per kilogram, and ripe garlic by 0.1 percent to BGN 5.69 per kilogram. Only green salad is cheaper – by 3.6 percent, and it is sold at BGN 1.01 per piece.
As for fruit, apples rose in price by 15.1 percent to BGN 1.78 per kilogram, and grapes by 12.2 percent to BGN 2.69 per kilogram. Oranges are also up – by 3.2 percent to BGN 2.57 per kilogram.
The price of lemons fell by 8.4 percent and they are available at BGN 2.29 per kilogram. In the case of bananas, the decrease is 1.3 percent to 2.69 BGN per kilogram, and in the case of mandarins – 7.5 percent to 3.04 BGN per kilogram.
Cow cheese became cheaper by 0.8 percent to BGN 11.17 per kilogram, while the price of “Vitosha” cheese rose by 1.1 percent to BGN 17.10 per kilogram.
Yogurt (3 and over 3 percent fat content) became cheaper by 0.3 percent and it is bought at BGN 1.27 for a bucket of 400 grams, while fresh milk (3 percent fat content) increased in price by 0.7 percent to 2 .41 BGN per liter.
The price of chicken meat is down by 0.9 percent to BGN 6.26 per kilogram, and that of eggs (size M) is up by 2.5 percent to BGN 0.33 per piece wholesale.
Rice is cheaper by 2.7 percent and reaches BGN 3.31 per kilogram, and lentils by 1.5 percent and is BGN 4.32 per kilogram. The price of ripe beans decreased by 0.3 percent to BGN 4.31 per kilogram.
Sugar is down by 2.2 percent and it is traded at BGN 1.93 per kilogram.
Oil increased in price by 1.9 percent to BGN 3.00 per liter. The price of cow’s butter (packet of 125 grams) is also moving upwards – by 4.9 percent to BGN 3.06 per unit. Type 500 flour is cheaper by 2.3 percent and is available at BGN 1.30 per kilogram.
