Sixteen drivers drove at speeds between 70 and 96 km/h in built-up areas limited to 50 km/h, were arrested between Monthey and Collombey-Muraz. They will be reported to the competent authorities
Speeds inappropriate and rodeo
The offenders have been flashés during selective operation of the controls of speed within localities. Since the end of the month of April, the municipal Police of Monthey, in effect, has responded to several complaints from citizens dealing speeds inappropriate, excessive noises and even rodeo road in limited areas to 50 km/h in Monthey and Collombey-Muraz.
For its part, the cantonal Police said tirelessly pursue its targeted checks in all locations of the township as well as to the risk areas accidentogènes. “Special attention is also given in the areas of work highway”.
