El Kaouakibi has been temporarily suspended as a member of Open VLD. According to Bart Somers, it cannot be ruled out that there is still a future in the party for her: “I think it is important for Sihame to provide clarity as soon as possible.”
“She is a public figure, the debate is also conducted in public, so you can hardly do anything but defend your audience. She has the task of refuting those allegations with a certain conviction.”
