Musya Totibadze, Kazakh DJ Imanbek, singer Marie Kraimbreri and rapper Slava Marlow (Artem Gotlib) also competed for the prize in the nomination.
The annual award was established by the music channel MTV Europe in 1994. The laureates are determined by the results of online voting.
This year the awards ceremony took place in Budapest.
Recall that in 2019 the best Russian performer according to the MTV Europe Music Awards became the Ukrainian singer MARUV (Ana Korsun), and in 2017 – singer Ivan Dorn.
