The police finally escaped hundreds travelers detained in the Kedungwaringin blockade, Bekasi, West Java. Travelers which was dominated by two-wheeled vehicles, was finally allowed to walk without any inspection.
Monitoring detikcom in Kedungwaringin, Bekasi, West Java, Sunday (9/5/2021) at 22.47 WIB, motorists are allowed to pass towards Karawang. The police, who had been sealed with an orange plastic barrier, finally opened it.
In order to travelers cheers greeted him. They even said thank you.
“Thank you, Mr. Kapolres,” said the motorist to the Bekasi Metro Police Chief Kombes Hendra Gunawan who was at the location.
They walked while screaming and shouting horns. In fact, some of them clapped their hands.
It is known that the Bekasi-Karawang border, precisely in Kedungwaringin, is totally stuck. This was because the travelers who were going to Karawang did not accept being stopped by officers and blocked the road to Bekasi as a form of resistance.
This arterial road was once full of motorists. Those who did not have a Karawang KTP had to be turned back by the officers.
“Please show the Karawang KTP, which we will not turn back,” said the officer in the field.
The motorists who did not accept being turned back turned out to be trying to form a line. They had blocked the road that was supposed to be heading towards Bekasi before finally being allowed by the police to cross into Karawang.
