The barrel of crude oil traded today with a negative sign in the international markets of New York and London.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude, which operates on the New York futures market (Nymex), fell 0.16% this morning and was trading at US$ 79.70 a barrel in contracts with delivery in October.
Similarly, Brent oil from the North Sea, which is traded on the London electronic market (ICE), fell 0.33% and a barrel was agreed to at US$ 84.20 also in October contracts, according to with what was reported by the Bloomberg agency.

Meanwhile, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) reported that its basket of crude oil closed on Friday at US$86.89 a barrel, compared to US$85.71 the day before, which represented an increase of 1 .37%
