Legacy. An exhibition has been opened in the Rundāle Palace Museum The mysticism of baroque sculpture. Johann Georg Pinzel and other Lviv masters of the 18th century. It features wooden sculptures by the late Baroque sculptor Johann Georg Pinzel (c. 1720?-1761?) and other masters from the Lviv region, which were made for church furnishings. All exhibited works are from the collection of Boris Woznicki’s collection of the Lviv National Art Gallery.

Concert. On Saturday, July 16, Mežaparka will perform on the Great Stage Melo-M megaorķestris – trio Melo-M more than eighty cellists from all over Latvia will join the musicians on stage. They represent different generations – there will be both children and young people who are just learning to play the cello, as well as students, graduates and professional musicians. Percussionists Miķelis Vīte and Mārtiņš Miļevskis will play together with the cellists. Songs from the Song Festival repertoire, compositions by Mārtiņš Braun, Imantas Kalniņš and Jānis Lūsēns, as well as works from The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Mumford & Sons and Marilyn Manson’s repertoire. The concert will take place Melo-M the premiere of the compositions of the leader Kārlis Auzāns Together we can – an opus created especially for this orchestra.

Local tenor Alexander Antonenko, German mezzo-soprano Dorothea Bienert, Kyiv National Opera soloist soprano Olha Matushenko, finalists of this year’s Hans Gábor Belvedere young singers competition – Belgian soprano Louise Faure and Ukrainian baritone Nikita Ivasechko will sing. You have to buy tickets. On August 30, the legendary French singer Natālija Dese will perform for the first time in Latvia at the Dzintari concert hall. She has ended her career on the opera stage, but continues to sing chamber music and jazz and plays in the theater. Natalija Dese will perform the program in Jurmala Delightful Legrand, which will feature the music of French classicist Michel Legrand (1932–2019). Together with Legrand, the singer has recorded two albums.
