Baronissi, it rains in the school bus: maintenance and poisons

“It’s raining” in a school transport vehicle and others Baronissi it is immediately controversial. The fluctuating bad weather of recent weeks has caused quite a few inconveniences and now the maintenance of the buses used to transport students in the area is also at the center of the discussion, especially on days marked by heavy rain. The report came from the council group led by the former councillor Marco Picarone, who complained about the lack of care for the conditions in which children travel, starting from a video shot in one of the vehicles.

From the pictures it looks like it “drip” inside the bus while it is moving and heading to its destination. «These are the indecent conditions in which our children are forced to live during school transport – attack the city councilors of the civic group “Marco Picarone mayor” -. It is absolutely inconceivable that means and transport are reduced in these conditions. We ask the mayor and the relevant councilor to provide explanations and report to the city council».

Among the requests made, «When was the last complete overhaul and maintenance carried out on minibuses intended for school transport? Why do our children have to find themselves in the situation where it literally rains on their heads in these minibuses?». The group also recalls the allocation of 10 thousand euros in the city council meeting on 30 July for the extraordinary maintenance of school buses: «Already in that context we underlined how the measure was extremely undersized for the needs of our city and we hoped for more funds to make the service a territorial excellence. What did this money do? Why weren’t they used? What do you expect to intervene?».

The latest thrust concerns the reception paths: «Why aren’t they public, posted and published on the municipality’s website, to give all users precise knowledge of the collection points? Why is every change delegated to the assistants on the minibuses? We are aware of cases in which school buses repeat the same routes several times or avoid collection points to satisfy some unfair request from some zealous administrator».
