‘Baron’ and other actors receive more money from Bassie and Adriaan | NOW

Actor Paul van Gorcum and four other actors are entitled to more financial compensation from Bas and Aad van Toor, better known as Bassie and Adriaan. That has the court in Rotterdam determined on Wednesday.

Bas and Aad van Toor must pay 15,000 euros, plus the statutory interest on this amount between February 15, 2002 and October 20, 2015.

Van Gorcum, who played the character Baron Van Neemweggen in the films and series between 1988 and 1994 Bassie & Adriaan , together with four other actors went to court in 2007.

The subject of that case was compensation for the use of their performances in four series of Bassie & Adriaan, available on DVD and video since 2002. Seven years later they were put in the right, but the Van Toor brothers would never have fulfilled the payment obligation.

The ruling that was made on Wednesday was actually supposed to take place on October 7, but was canceled due to the corona measures.
