The newfound synergy and compactness, following the internal discussions held in the weeks following the city council meeting of August 21, allow us to confirm our convinced and concrete support for Mayor Vito Leccese, firmly believing that the group of the 5 Star Movement is within the perimeter of the council majority. We will work tirelessly to implement the electoral program voted by the citizens of Bari and in their exclusive interest”.
Vito Leccese also revokes the delegation to the new assessor Raffaele Diomede indicated by M5S and criticizes the broad field: “Respect for Bari is needed”

The two city councilors, last August 21, had announced in the Chamber that they were leaving the majority and would support it externally because they did not agree with the choice to indicate an external assessor from the M5S quota, Raffaele Diomede, who later resigned after the friction. Therefore, “in the next few days – they announced – a qualified profile designated to fulfill the assessor role attributed to the M5S on important and characterizing issues such as Controls, Legality, Transparency, Social Anti-Mafia, Tenders and Contracts, Transparency, Heritage, Confiscated Assets, Erp, Housing Emergency will be submitted to the evaluation of the mayor Leccese, whom we thank for his availability and trust”.
