jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police moved quickly to follow up on the alleged cartel for cremation of the Covid-19 body, which was revealed by the famous lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto, has even ordered his subordinates to investigate the case.
He also asked the community to help his side in handling the case.
“We are currently investigating. If there are victims who help, please report them,” Agus said when confirmed, Wednesday (21/7).
This case went viral after Hotman Paris spread the word on social media about the alleged cartel cremation of bodies Covid-19 taking advantage of the current pandemic situation.
The irresponsible party is looking for profit by setting a tariff of up to Rp. 80 million.
“Hello, funeral homes and crematoriums, why do you have the heart to charge very high fees for victims of the pandemic. There are people complaining to me,” said Hotman Paris on Instagram on Tuesday (20/7).
“For the cost of the coffin Rp. 25 million, transportation Rp. 7.5 million, cremation Rp. 45 million, others Rp. 2.5 million. Then the victim’s family must pay Rp. 80 million for the cremation,” continued Hotman.
