The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police confiscated money worth Rp. 23 billion from the Viral Blast trading robot case. Of this amount, Rp 1.5 billion of which came from football clubs Persija, Madura United and Bhayangkara FC.
“The total amount of money that has been confiscated is Rp. 23,045,000,000, Rp. 1.5 billion of which is from Madura United, Persija, Bhayangkara FC,” said Head of Sub-Directorate III of the Ditippideksus Bareskrim Polri Kombes Robertus Yohanes De Deo to reporters, Saturday (6/18/2022). ).
In this case, the Dittipideksus Bareskrim Polri has named four suspects, namely RPW, MU, ZHP, and PW. However, the suspect PW is still being hunted and has been added to the wanted list (DPO).
Furthermore, Robertus also said that his party also confiscated money from the suspects worth 20 billion, Rp 45 million from an exchanger and Rp 1.4 billion from a dealer in Surabaya.
“Rp 1.4 billion is down payment (DP), money from Mercy suspect PW from a dealer in Kedaung Surabaya,” he said.
Furthermore, Robertus said investigators had completed the files on behalf of three suspects, namely, RPW, ZHP, and RPW. The third case file has been declared complete by the Public Prosecutor or P21.
“Unit 1 Sub-Directorate III has carried out Phase 2 of the Viral Blast case against the suspects ZHP, MU, and RPW on June 17, 2022,” said Robertus.
Confiscate IDR 1.5 billion from Persija-Madura United
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police confiscated Rp 1.5 billion in the case of the Viral Blast trading robot. It was later revealed that the money came from three football clubs, namely Persija, Bhayangkara FC, and Madura United (MU).
“It’s true. Some of them were confiscated from several football clubs. Some were confiscated from Persija, Madura United, and Bhayangkara FC,” said Head of Sub-Directorate III of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Kombes Robertus Yohanes De Deo, when confirmed, Friday (13/5).
De Deo said the money was a club sponsorship fee. The Rp 1.5 billion money has now been confiscated as evidence in the case.
“Yes (sponsorship). Meanwhile, only from the 3 clubs,” he said.
3 Ball Clubs Checked
As previously reported, the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit continues to track the flow of funds in the case of the Viral Blast trading robot. Investigators then examined a number of football clubs, including Persija, PS Sleman, and Madura United.
“Those who have been asked for information are Persija, PS Sleman, and Madura United,” said Head of Sub-Directorate III of the Criminal Investigation Division of the National Police, Kombes Robertus Yohanes De Deo, to detikcom, Friday (15/4).
De Deo said investigators were looking into the agents of each football club. They were asked for confirmation regarding the sponsorship of Viral Blast.
