TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police opened an investigation into the alleged misappropriation of public funds by the social organization Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) by collecting data and information (pulbaket). The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said that the Criminal Investigation Department was investigating the case, although it had not yet received a report from the public.
“There is no report yet, it’s still an investigation by Pulbaket first,” said Dedi, Monday, July 5, 2022.
The Head of the Financial Transactions and Analysis Reporting Center (PPATK) Ivan Yustiavandana said that from the analysis of transactions carried out by his party, it was indicated that there was misuse of funds for personal interests and related to alleged prohibited activities.
According to him, PPATK has been conducting an analysis of ACT’s financial transactions for a long time. The results of the analysis have also been submitted to law enforcement officers (APH) in this case the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 of the National Police and the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT).
“We indicated there were deviant transactions, their purpose and designation and inappropriate parties.” said Ivan.
Ivan said the analysis is still in process, the results will be submitted to law enforcement officials as soon as possible, namely Densus and BNPT. Regarding indications of misuse or storage of people’s funds in ACT for personal gain and suspected illicit activities, law enforcement officials need further investigation.
“The transaction indicates this, but it needs further investigation by the relevant law enforcement,” said Ivan.
