Barea, the former NBA champion with Leonese ancestors, signs for Movistar Estudiantes

Barea is also one of the stars of the selection of Puerto Rico, with which he won the gold medals of the Pan American Games of 2011, of the Central American and Caribbean Games of 2006 and 2010; and silver from the 2007 Pan American Games.

The player will arrive in Madrid this week to join Movistar Estudiantes training. He will thus fulfill a small personal objective: to play in the land of his ancestors, natives of Ribota de Sajambre (Lion).
