Traveling by plane is not always pleasant for passengers, due to the food served by the airline or the behavior of fellow passengers.
A team of travel experts from Points Guy shared for espresso.co.uk the worst things passengers can do on a flight.
They called the gesture truly “terrible” for their travel companions and crew airplane.
“Keep your shoes on. We don’t really know why this needs to be said, but unfortunately feet can be terrible.
We completely understand why you might want to take your shoes off, especially on a long-haul flight or even for cultural reasons.
But please, at least keep your socks or some slippers! If your feet have any kind of odor when you take them off, keep your socks on.”
Lot of passengers they take off their shoes on the plane, but their fellow passengers might be happier if they at least keep their socks on.
The team added, “Not only are bare feet annoying to many travelers around you, but think about where your shoes were and what’s actually on the floor of the plane.”
“Ever notice mysterious liquids on an airplane bathroom floor? It’s probably not water.”
Airplane floors aren’t usually the cleanest places because the crew won’t have time to clean them between flights.
Due to busy schedules, the crew will usually only have time to do a quick cleanup before the next passenger boards.
This means that the plane floor could be very dirty and not the most hygienic place to walk around in bare feet.
The floor of an airplane bathroom may be particularly dirty due to spills or accidents during the flight.
The Points Guy team added: ‘Should go without saying but please save the hairstyles and haircuts for the bathroom Hotels.
Yes, you’ll probably spend more than a few hours in this flying metal tube, but this isn’t Sephora. This is an airplane.
Hydration is okay because those mini articles by bath from your kit are there to be used.
If your leather is dry in the recycled cabin air, it’s no problem to fix it.
But cut your nails or shave your beard, please don’t.”
Other passengers are unlikely to be happy if trips they start cutting their nails during a flight.
Also, using the toilet on the plane for this is not the best idea as it can create queues for other passengers who just want to use the toilet.
