They never really got together for the shooting. Camila Cabello recorded her parts separately and then forwarded them to Stromae. “I am happy how the collaboration has turned out. She fully understood the vibe of the song and added a nice feminine perspective to it,” says Stromae. “I wanted to get some sort of flirtation in it,” adds Cabello. “A feminine perspective indeed.”
It is Cabello’s first song in French. She hired one especially for a pronunciation coach. “So that I could, for example, pronounce “amour” correctly,” says the Cuban-American singer. “I really appreciated that perfectionism,” Stromae concludes.
