Barcelona sporting director Deco is fully committed to his current role. He felt the weight of his work in the summer, but at the moment he has left behind all negativity, according to the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, quoted by BTA.
Due to the heavy criticism and the need to operate without much funds, Deco considered leaving his post, but after much effort by club president Joan Laporta, including public praise and internal conversations, the 47-year-old Brazilian has decided that he will continue to work with him for the foreseeable future.
After the close of the transfer window, Deco was not spotted in Barcelona for several days during which he traveled to Mallorca to spend a few days on vacation.
There were even reports that in mid-August, at the height of the transfer window, Deco was briefly admitted to hospital with symptoms brought on by the stress of his responsibilities.
