Madrid, January 7 (QNA) – Barcelona qualified for the round of 16 of the Spanish King’s Cup, after defeating Barbastro (one of the fourth division clubs) with a score of (3-2) in the match that brought them together today in the 32nd round of the competition.
Barcelona’s hat-trick was scored by Fermin Lopez in the 18th minute, Rafinha Diaz in the 51st minute, and Robert Lewandowski in the 88th minute, while Barbastro and Adria de Mesa scored in the 60th minute, and Mark Pratt in the 90th minute (3+9) from a penalty kick.
Also qualified for the round of 16 were: Valencia by defeating Cartagena by two goals to one, Athletic Bilbao by defeating host Eibar by three clean goals, Osasuna by overcoming host Castellon with one unanswered goal, Sevilla by defeating host Racing Ferrol by two goals to one, and Real Mallorca by defeating Real Burgos by three goals. Without a response, Celta Vigo defeated Amorebieta with a score of (4-2), and Real Sociedad defeated Malaga with a goal without a response, today in the 32nd round of the competition.
